Not sure what to say?

I remember Prof. Hodson as a friendly and dedicated teacher during my 4 years as a physics major at Montclair State.

I am sorry to learn that Dick has left us. Still remember the day in 1983 when I first met him in his chairperson office. As I said in his retirement party, to me he is like a teacher, a father and a brother. It is my privilege to have known and worked with him.

I am sorry to hear of the passing of a dear colleague and friend for 56 years at Montclair State. Dick and I worked together in Physics and Geoscience Department. He is the best a human can be, a man of God always said his prayers before we had lunch or dinner. Always gave his best, generous spiritually and in every way. It was an honor to have known Dick, we will miss you my friend.

I had the honor and privilege of working with Dick when I was Chair of the Environmental Commission in the1970s. He always listened and always cared. He left Hopatcong a much better place for all who live there. My deepest condolences to the family.

We are so sorry for your loss but pray you are comforted by your dad/grandpa's life well lived. God bless and keep you all. Gary and Linda Matz. Our Savior Lutheran church.

We are so sorry for your loss! Dick did so much for the Hopatcong Community and West Side Methodist Church. He was truly missed when he left hopatcong. Rest in Peace Dick !! With love Rich and Irene Breiten Hopatcong NJ

We are sorry for your loss. Hopatcong NJ

To the family of the Late Honorable Richard Hodson: a man of humbleness, charity and care. He served the community and had a heart of great servitude. His kindness will always be remembered by Hopatcong and residents of the Sussex County area. He will be greatly missed. Tearfully submitted, Rev. Cynthia Larson

May your memories of the wonderful times you shared with your loved one comfort you and your family, today and always.
