Not sure what to say?

I just found this obituary today but felt like I needed to share my thoughts. Dick is one of the first people that I remember meeting outside of our immediate family. He was my father´s (Dick Kuban) best friend, and my father always referred to him that way until the day he died. Some of my fondest memories are associated with a fishing trip that the three of us took in Michigan. He was one of the kindest, gentlest men that I ever knew. I had intended to make the trip from Ohio to go see him...

I´ll never forget when the family came to Syracuse and I traveled back with them to Ohio and Michigan

I first meant Richard when I joined the senior tennis league upon retirement. He was one who welcomed me with open arms. Being veterans we had an instant connection and he was always up and never had a harsh word about anyone. We bonded and became fast friends. He was always a loyal friend who will never be replaced. My heart is very heavy tonight.

Richard was one of the best men I ever met. I was very lucky to be friends with him and his wife Nancy.

Enjoyed many great times with Dick fishing and having fun, well miss him very much his friends Jim and Joanne Smith

Uncle Dick you will be forever missed by us all. Heaven is now a whole lot brighter. Godspeed as you rejoin Grandma, Grandpa, Uncle Ed and my dad. May you rest in peace as you fish the waters of the Great life beyond! Love always, your nephew. - John Edward Horan

Richard followed me in a sales position in Kelvinator. We remained friends and I helped him a number of times with clients he took over and I knew well. Later he recommended me for a position which turned out to make a huge difference in my life and retirement. I appreciated his friendship and confidence very much.

Richard has been a friend, mentor and roll model to me; for my work-life, but more importantly for my personal life, ever since. While our geographic proximity may have kept us from seeing each other on a regular basis, our friendship was close. He and I have spoken nearly once a week for the past 15-plus years as our lives evolved through many changes and challenges. I always...
