P.S. How could I have forgotten Dick's heart attack, when repeating the Twenty-Third Psalm over and over again while in the emergency room, he decided to enter the ministry....when he survived. Unbelievably he learned Greek and Hebrew at over 60 years old, and became the beloved minister we all loved. Truck stops. Senior Living communities. Assisted living communities. all. His age was a plus. May your memories of this exceptional fellow give you great comfort.

I encountered the Rev at the Interfaith Chapel and he was unlike any ordained professional that I had ever met. He ran late furor Bible Study sessions, but we knew he'd be there. His field trip to a new kind of church -- with a coffee bar -- was unexpectedly fascinating to all of our group. And his arranging od donated goods in the Chapel's Narthex -- "you know I was in advertising!" -- were lovely. I could go on.
