Who is going to keep me supplied with jokes now that Mr. Hubbard is gone? Who is going to give me antique advice and tell me stories about old Boylston? I will miss him!! Andrea

Dwight, I'm was so sorry to hear about your dad, I so enjoyed his visits, he brightened all our days. He had such a sweet personality and kind spirit. I will truly miss his smile. Remember our loved ones are never truly gone only a memory away.

To Dwight..(aka "squash"!!) Can't resist logging in here. For us old and long time Shrewsbury residents, the name Dick Hubbard is synonamous with Shrewsbury. He was a much admired and very knowledgeable town character. Blessings to you.

Although I only knew Dick during the last 6 years of his life, I feel as though I had always known him, being such an easy person to befriend. Having grown up in the same town of Boylston where Dick was born, I enjoyed with particular interest all of the tales that he recounted of "life" in that town years before I was born. His holiday glug gatherings, going out for lunch with him, Judith and my mother, and trips to the auction and flea markets will always be remembered. He will be missed!
