Not sure what to say?

Diane and Family,
I worked with Rick in Owego for many years and was always impressed with his work ethic but the thing that stood out most was the away he approached everythinig with a positive attitude and friendly smile. He will be missed greatly. I am very sorry for your loss.

I was shocked and saddened to learn of Rick's passing. We had lost touch over the years and miles, mostly keeping tabs through our good mutual friend, Paul, who would always have some off-the-wall comment to the query of ‘What's Rick up to these days?' I will always remember Rick's numerous contributions to our aquatic schools – as an excellent instructor, a willing participant/instigator of many extracurricular exploits, a talented faculty contributor, and a dedicated friend who I could...

Diane,
You are in our thoughts and prayers. We were so sorry to hear of Rick's passing. May the many good years and times you shared help sustain you at this difficult time.

I will miss Rick very much.
Sincerely, Mike Herbster
Eastlake Recreation Club Manager

Marc, my husband, always talked of how good-natured he seemed as he was behind us at Cornell Hockey games. What a lovely picture of him..a warm and happy smile! A Daddy and a Husband who will be missed! Keenan and Diane, we are just so sorry for your tremendous loss.

Hughes Family - Aunt Sally told me about Rick's passing. My heart is so heavy with this news. His bright smile is shining down on all of us now. Rick always warmed my heart every time I saw him. When he was a lifeguard in Baldwinsville and I was just a teenager back then I remember being madly in love with him, even though he was my cousin. I have forever memories of Rick including the Amarylis plants he used to give Grandma Vertigan each year. I inherited all of those and they keep...

My heart goes out to you. We benefited from Rick's hockey efforts on our behalf. I will always have fond memories of hockey road trips with Keenan and Rick.

All my Love...I am so sorry I didn't know!...TJ

Diane, Keenan and Kai,

You lost a wonderful soulmate, father, best friend and role model to all. I looked forward to the state meet just to see Rick's smile and always kind words. He will be missed by all.
