Not sure what to say?

Thank you to all who have added these touching thoughts about our dad to this guest book. Thanks also to the Dallas Morning News for writing such a great feature article about him on Tuesday.

For those who couldn't make it, 1,000 people attended Dad's funeral this week and it ended with him being marched up to the saints by the Dixieland Jazz Band he always said he wanted. Throw in a day or two of scotch and stories, and I think Dad would have been quite proud of the celebration of...

Mr. Hull has been a close friend of my dad, Dewain Hill, for many years and always so kind to me as well. I remember when I graduated from college we went to lunch and he took the time to sit down in his office with me to try and help me find the best career path. I know he will be missed by all of the people whose lives he touched. My thoughts and prayers are with the family.

My deepest sympathy to Susan and all of Dick's children. Dick was an exceptional human being . He touched my life in many ways, personally and professionally, and I owe him a debt of gratitude. I believe we are ultimately defined by the lives we touched/influenced during our time here on earth and Dick touched many people. I will always remember Dick as an intelligent, caring, entertaining, and willing teacher and gentleman.
God Bless you Dick!!! We will miss you!

I enjoyed meeting and being with Richard on occasion when he came to Randolph-Macon College in Ashland,VA, to see Tracey, my daughter's friend, roommate, and sorority sister. He "educated " me about Dallas and the Texas Rangers, as well as his radio stations. "He fought a good fight, ran a good race, and now to receive his crown in Heaven". Godspeed.

Dick was an original, a heck of a friend.
