Not sure what to say?

It is with a sense of great loss I feel the death of Richard Hunnicutt. Although we never met personally I was and still am an avid student of his writings on armored vehicles. His contributions to the historical and engineering records will remain monumental works for generations to come. They are some of the guideing documents for making better combat vehicles to protect American Armored Soldiers and Marines in the future.

Some of my most cherished books if not objects I own are from this famtastic author. They have brought me much enjoyment and enriched my life.

Thank you very much.

Peggy James, Bill Swindell, Frances Webb

Geoff: Bea & Ben Swindell were my mother and father. I met you when they lived in NJ - did't dad buy a red cougar from you? I am sorry about your dad's death.
The picture is of Peggy (who said she was coming to the memorial), Bill and myself at an Allison reunion. I hope you are doing all right. If you ever get to New Orleans please give me a call.

I didn't know Richard but do know his daughter Barb. Sounds like a wonderful man. My sympathies are with the family.

We are never ready in life to lose our loved ones and Dick was a special guy. The only comfort has to come from our Faith in the Sovereignty of God and the manifested concern of caring friends. You are in our thoughts and prayers and we just hope in some small way it does help to know others do care. Class of 43 members...
