Richard Ivan

Richard "Dick" Ivan, Sr., age 65 of Massillon, died on Monday, June 4, 2012. He was born in Massillon on February 8, 1947 and was the son of the late Donald and Helen (Koblarski) Ivan. He was a 1965 graduate of Washington High School and a member of St. Barbara Catholic Church. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Peggy Ivan in 2005. Dick is survived by his son, Richard (Kimberly) Ivan, Jr., son Randy (Kathleen) Ivan and son and caregivers, Jamie and Julie Ivan, 11 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren, his sister and caregiver, Rosemarie (Dennis) Earl, his sister Elaine (Chuck) McGraw, his brothers, Donald Ivan, Jr., Robert (Dee) Ivan and Kenneth (Barb) Ivan. Also surviving is his best friend, his toy poodle, Abby. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Thursday at 10:00 A.M. at St. Barbara Catholic Church with Fr. Thomas Cebula celebrating the Mass. Burial will follow at Brookfield Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the Paquelet Funeral Home, 1100 Wales Avenue in Massillon on Wednesday from 5-8 P.M.
