Met Richie in August '72, we were both drafted in the Army, he help me get a job at the steel mill, great times after we came home from the military, played baseball with Bob together, we're bartenders together, did so many things together, he is truly missed, remember the great times will never end. RIP,Also best man at my wedding also

Jake, You were a very kind and devoted man to everyone. You spoke highly of your family and showed us weekly pictures of them. You would help others, no questions asked. I'm very proud to have met you. May we meet again, my friend.

Worked with Jake at Lowe's , what a great hard working guy, going to miss you. Will always remember the 2.00 bills you gave to Blake !

I worked with Jake at Leer and seen him often and Walmart and Lowes. My grandkids have more than 50 $2 bills he gave to them over several years for birthday, Holidays or just because. RIP my friend and condolences to you boys. He always talked about your accomplishments and was one proud papa.

Thank you all for the kind words for my brother Richard "Jake." His heart was big, his intentions were good and he was so proud of his sons Jon and Branden. Although he was living with the effects of a stroke and severe aphasia; his eyes were all knowing. For me he was a champion! Rest easy, well earned!

Jake was a big part of my life for 21 years. He was my boss, my mentor, and my friend. He was truly one of the best people I ever knew. Rest in peace my friend. My condolences to Jon and Brandon and their families, his brother Bob and his sister Joni.
