Not sure what to say?

It has now been over a year since Richard left and I still think of him daily. We sent each other almost daily texts all during that year of Covid quarantine. He really helped me get through such a difficult time with his wicked sense of humor. We would exchange movie tips and books or article to read, funny memes we found surfing the web and, of course, rail at the politicians. We also shared our heartfelt feelings of the time and Richard often talked about his great love for his life...

My hero is dead. The first man to believe in my photography work and was always the best best friend a person could have. i´ve been trying to reach him and i finally stumbled onto this. i´m so sad

I'm so saddened to hear of Richard's passing and of Trudy as well. I thought the world of them both. I remember Richard as one of the kindest people I've ever known. Our families were close and we watched each other grow up and I regret losing touch. I've often thought of all of you through the years. My most heartfelt condolences....Linda

Richard, his friend Tom Martin, and I were best friends my freshman year at Atlantic Christian. Our late night fun and antics got them thrown out and me moved into the girls dorm. I cherish my memories of our deep friendship that year. Richard was a creative genius and an old soul with a kind heart. My most sincere condolences to his family,

How do we message the family about the memorial event?

I worked in Camera and enjoyed our visits and working together. Some people make an impression on you that lasts a lifetime and Richard was definitely one of those people for me. He was such a kind and thoughtful person. My prayers go out to his partner and family.

A Celebration of Life has been scheduled for Richard on August 7. If you might be able to attend, please message us back so that we can get you the information.

I met Richard through his mother, Trudy Jester who I adored. She was one was of my mentors on Altar Guild at Ascension Episcopal Parish. She would tell me sweet stories of her "boys", and how much she loved them. And then she introduced me to Richard at church- he was everything she had said and then some! A very kind and caring person. He is truly missed.
