You are missed. Have a fond memory of you drinking your Foster´s beer before U of M home football games....Maria Kovaleski

He was a good friend and I will miss him

I always looked forward to talking to Rich when our paths crossed in the Dental School. He genuinely cared for the people he worked with and the students he taught. We have lost a great guy.

Thinking of you, Dale and family. Happy memories - deepest sympathy. Peggy Noble Idema

Professor Richard Johnson was an incredibly considerate and dedicated educator who left an enduring and positive impact on thousands of students and residents in the School of Dentistry over the years. To his students he was approachable and wise. To his colleagues he was thoughtful and collegial. Our school of dentistry community mourns his passing. We are fortunate to have had the opportunity to engage with him as a dedicated alumnus and extraordinary teacher.

He was a longtime friend & colleague of my husbands. Our relationship takes us prior to his marriage to Susan. We have fond memories from Dental School, football games, delicious dinners shared at the Johnson home and our love for Maui. Even though we moved to AZ 8 1/2 years ago, we have remained in touch & met for lunch when in town. Most recently we are thankful for precious FaceTime communications. You will be missed for sure, our dear friend & Michigan Man! Go Blue!!

I am so sad to hear the news of Dr Johnson's passing. He was an intelligent and kindhearted man. Loved and appreciated by many RIP .

Sue so sorry to read of Richards passing, I know that the last few years have been hard, may the Lord Bless you and your family.

Dr. Johnson was one of my favorite professors while I was in dental school. He was always warm and engaging to the kids in his clinic, and kind to his students. I have thought many times about him while practicing, and I hope that I have developed some of the same care and concern that he always conveyed. He was very patient with me as well, and I learned a lot from him. Im so sad and sorry to hear this news.
