Richard and I were good friends from Acalanes High School and Harvard days. I considered him a bright, energetic, open-minded and kind man. We lost touch after college. The very nice obituary shows that Richard continued in character throughout his life.

Hermon and was told about Peter living the Spartan life, working on farms which sounded fascinating. My favorite stories of Rich were when Peter told me he'd climbed the Matterhorn.
