Richard "Richie" Alexander Jones, of Philadelphia/Hatboro, Pennsylvania, was born on June 11, 1985 in Philadelphia. Richie passed away from the Disease of Addiction at the age of age 33 on June 20, 2018, in Philadelphia. He was the first son and is survived by his loving parents, Retired Philadelphia Police Lieutenant Richard Jones and Registered Nurse Elaine J. (McCann) Jones; two brothers, Michael J. Jones, Sr. (Olivia) and Andy Sideris (Maria); sisters, Jennifer Jones and Amanda T. Jones; six nieces, Mia, Karah, Annalyse, Gianna, Aubrey, and Jocelyn; four nephews, Liam, Jovanni, Dillon, and Michael; and his Aunt Demetra Sideris "Aunt Dee Jones" (Jennifer and Andy's mother). Richie was a Boy Scout and altar boy growing up, attended St. Dominic's grade school and graduated from Upper Moreland High School. His hobbies and interests included spending time with his family and friends, carpentry, remodeling, drawing, baseball, boxing, reading, going to Doo Wop shows with his dad, lifting weights, and cutting hair. Richie was very charismatic and witty. He could make anyone laugh even on their worse days. He would walk around singing Elvis and impersonating Jim Carrey ad nauseam, take the blame for breaking TV's, and have catches in the back yard. Although he had his struggles and could definitely drive you crazy, he had a warm heart and often expressed how deeply he cared for this family. His mother and father, who meant the world to him, never gave up or lost faith. You could see the love and affection for our family in his eyes. Richie will be sorely missed by many.

Richie, You are always on my mind. I thank God every day that you are no longer in pain emotionally, mentally and physically. Tomorrow the family is going to celebrate your birthday and your life. We are having your favorite dinner-chicken parm! We will celebrate with cake and brownies and blowing bubbles! I will never forget your courage and strength! You had amazing resilience as you navigated all your issues with having hemophilia. You were so strong and never let it get you down. You...

Richie,
It's been 5 years since you left this earth. I continue to feel you in my heart all the time. You will always remain close to me! I am aware of your presence around us all the time. You are amazing with all you antics! You still have your sense of humor! I love you and miss you! We celebrated your 38th birthday at Artman Lutheran Home Rehab, since I was in there for rehab for my left leg. Karah made such Awesome chocolate cupcakes and arranged them in an "R" for you!
