Our hearts are shattered. On February 26, 2021, Rich went home to be with the Lord. The youngest of five children, Rich was born in the Bronx, New York, on November 2, 1964, and grew up in Denville, New Jersey. He attended Morris Catholic High School, where he was a star athlete playing three separate sports, football, baseball and basketball, but it was football, his true love that he excelled, always wearing number #22. He was a diehard Miami Dolphins fan. He was a lover of all music, with his favorite band being the Rolling Stones.
After graduating from high school, Rich went to Montclair State, New Jersey and received a Bachelor of Science Degree. He thereafter received his Masters of Architecture from New Jersey Institute of Technology in 1995 and fulfilled his lifelong dream of becoming an Architect. He moved to Delray Beach, Florida, started and ran his own architectural firm, Richard Jones Architecture, where he quickly displayed his creative talents.
He leaves behind the greatest love of his life, his “Ticket to Happiness” his wife of 21 years, Karen. He also leaves behind his two daughters that he cherished beyond all things, and who will miss him dearly, Madison and Emily.
Rich will also be missed terribly by his sister Rachelle, brothers Ronald Jr. and Raymond, his sisters-in-law, Carol and Monica, his brother-in-law, Brian, his sister-in-law, Lara, his in-laws, Steve and Marian Romaine, and his many nieces and nephews, Adam, Amanda, Andrew, Ashley, Ross, Emily, Katherine, Elliot, Theodore, Samuel and Benjamin, who all adored him and always knew that he was the “cool uncle.”
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ronald Sr. and Rita, and his brother Russell.
