Dick and my father, Ed Powers of Hampden, MA were friends. I remember coming over to the house in Wilbraham and seeing the model railroad in the basement. Dick was such a nice man and always made me smile and laugh. I remember watching trains in the rail yard in West Springfield, spending time at the annual train show with Tucker's Hobbies, and enjoying chocolate fribbles at Friendly's. I was just thinking of him a few months ago before the Train Hobby show this year. My condolences to Nancy...

The Joyce Family It was truly a wrench in my heart upon hearing of Dicks passing. He was a lovely man with a great sense of humor. I worked with him at Friendly´s and he´s played many a joke on me. I worked in personnel department. A loss to all.

Judie and I worked with Dick at Friendly's. We are so sorry for your loss. Dick was a wonderful guy. Having grown up in East Longmeadow, I frequented the Friendly's in EL. Many teenagers showed up and Dick was able to deal with it all in a gracious manner. He seemed to have had a great life. God bless you Dick. Dave & Judie Carpenter

So sorry to hear of Dick's passing. I was at reception desk and Dick would always stop by to say Hello and be the person to wish me a Happy Holiday even if it wasn't one or a joke it was a great way to start the day. Ginny Giovannini
