One of my favorite memories is visiting with Dick in his living room one quiet afternoon. We reminisced about how Blue Springs used to be in the early 1970´s. He and my mom went to the same high school. When it was time for me to go he wanted me to have a jar of Blackberry Jam that he had purchased at his favorite fruit stand. Blackberry Jam was his favorite (mine too) and it was so kind that he wanted me to have it. I´ll always have that memory.

I was glad to have him as a neighbor and friend. He enjoyed capturing nature with his camera. Always had a smile and a story to share. Because of his service in the military, our countrymen are safer. He will be remembered.
