Richard Just M.D.

So sorry to find out this late (moved to Orange County in 2004) but need to add my fond recollection of Dr. Just. I was former Hematology Supervisor at Palomar Medical Center Laboratory. I can think of only a handful of physicians that I would consider 'stellar' but Richard was one of the best of them. Professionally, personally and treated patients and colleagues with compassion and respect. I can attest to the sense of humor. There we were showering at the iceoplex after a morning workout....

Dr Just was my oncologist and also a colleague at Palomr Medical Center in Escondido. Like Dawn Elders I always found him to be kind, caring and above all with a great sense of humor. He was a joy to all of us who knew him as patients and as allied health care providers. Living life to the fullest and passing on that joie de vivre. A very great human being.

My condolences on the passing of Richard. I heard his name during the virtual Yiskor service from NSCI.

So sorry to hear about Richard DeeDee he was a great man.

I worked as Dr. Just's NP for many years. Truly the best educator and physician a nurse could work for. Always compassionate with his patients and an advocate to assure they would get the best care available. He was a delightful man that will be missed. Prayers and thoughts are with Dee Dee and his whole family.

My deepest sympathy to the Just family. I worked with Dr. Just for many years on the Palomar Health Investigational Review Committee. He was always so conscientious and passionate about medical research. He was a joy to work with and always had interesting stories to share. I will miss him dearly.
