Dick and Paula have been our close family friends for more than 35 years. Our kids grew up together starting at the Serendipity Play Group where we first met and continuing on from preschool to high school and beyond. Early on we all helped care for each other's children and later were involved in our kids' sports, Scouts, and SHS Music Program. We enjoyed some fun family camping trips and getting together often over the years.

I believe that Dick may have been aptly called a "bibliophile". He loved books...lots and lots of books. My husband and I would sometimes meet Paula and Dick at Barnes and Noble for coffee and chats about family (grands!), current events and whatever else came to mind. Always there were discussions about what we were currently reading...or had read or planned to read. Fun and lively conversations.
