My dear brother, why did you have to leave so early in life? We had so much more to do.
By now your journey is over and you have met up with "Old Captain" and rehashed the good old days. Poor Heaven.
I know you will both be watching over me until I join you.
Tell "Old Cap" I love him and miss him, the same goes for you.
As for the many people you've know through out your life will really miss you, from your family, friends and co-workers.
You were a...

Dear Richard, I'm glad I was able to speak to you before you went to heaven. I will miss you, even though we did not see each other often, but my memories of you and your happy attitude towards life and all the people will remain. Elaine, I am thinking of you and I am hugging you and I can feel your pain, but Richard is ok, he is with the angels. Love Karin

Richard Karst was my Big Brother. Although for most of my life he was unknown to me, as I only found him and the other members of my family 5 years ago last December.
However, in this short period of time, we all became a complete family once again. It was as though we had been together forever.
Richard and I had an immediate bond as brothers. As the say , the apple does not fall far from the tree. I truly do regret that our time together was cut short.
My sincere...

To Richard's family,
You have lost a great member and part of your family, I knew Richard very well. When I first started work for the state 13 years ago Richard was always there to give "the Timster" a guiding hand and to teach me how to keep the main office always wound up! I consider myself a very lucky man to have had Richard pass through my life as so many people do.May God bless you Elaine and your family!

I remember when I was about five or six, when my sister Terri and I had "borrowed" some of Mom's jewelry and held a "yard sale". Uncle Richard was our only customer. He was also the only person that could call my mother "Pammie" and get away with it. When I think of him now, all I can hear is his laugh...
Until we meet again, dear Uncle Richard, may you rest in peace.
We Love you..Tracy and Mike

Uncle Richard, I am glad that we were able to see you last summer, and that you got to meet my 3 children. I remember as a child everyone called you "screwdriver" now it's "Big Daddy". Whatever the nickname, you will always be UNCLE to me. I will miss you. Best wishes to Elaine and all the family in Maine. We hope to see you all again soon. Love Lori, Gary, Bryan, Brandon, Brittany

I knew Richard for a short while. I'll surely miss working with Richard. The things that I'll miss most is his laugh and the little thumbs up he'd give you when ever you met him on the road driving his wheeler.
God Bless You Big Daddy

I have known Elaine for a long time
and Dick for awhile and I know she
found a good man in him. He was good
for her and to her. The most thing
I'll miss about Dick is his laugh.
There weren't many times that I saw
him when he wasn't laughing. Hang in
there Elaine. I'll miss ya Dick.
