Not sure what to say?

I´ve always remember Mr. Kelly. He truly was an amazing counselor. I had a difficult time adjusting to Sacramento High after going to Catholic schools for many years. He was the only reason I continued and then graduated. I´m proud to say I followed this amazing man in education. May his memory be eternal.

Mr. Kelly as we knew him was my grandparent's neighbor as far back as I can remember. He was always so gracious and mild tempered. Over the years, we must have hit a million balls over the fence and he was always so cool about throwing them back over or letting us in the back yard to get them. We were so lucky to have him and his family in our lives back then.

I began my teaching career at Sac High. He was an awesome mentor to me and our daughter who was so fortunate to have him as a Principal at ElCamino high school. Dick and Rosie , Kris and Lisa became lifelong friends. We traveled around the country pursuing our careers but always remained in touch. He also gave us our first dog, a Rhodesian Ridgeback we named Charlie Brown. Charlie traveled with us for 17 years and we always had the Kelley´s with us through Charlie. We have been rescuing dogs...

It breaks my heart to hear of Dick's passing. He was such a nice, sweet man! Love and prayers to Roselene and their family.

There will be many accolades said regarding Dick. All of them are true.He was definitely kind and caring person. My life has been enriched by knowing him. To Roselene, Kris and Lisa, my thoughts go out to you at this time.

In loving memory of a wonderful person. We will love you and miss you always.

One of the people that would shape my life. Mr. Kelly was always available to talk with you and advise you of the direction my life should go. He was a big advocate of what I needed to do as far as college and my basketball career. I thank everyone who put this person in my life. I am who I am today for what he did for me. Ronald (Ron) Bennett (SacHi Class of 1970)

I had the pleasure to work for Dick and Bill Dresser when they owned the Seal Swim School together in the summer of 1959! Dick was a great person to work for and get to know. I ran into Dick some years later when my daughter was attending El Camino High School. After that long of time Dick still remembered when I work for him and was, as I would say the same old Dick. Just a wonderful guy and I know that he will be missed. I know I will. Bob Porter
