RICHARD KEYES

I learned of Dick's passing upon reading his name in my latest issue of the UofM alumni magazine. He was my roommate at 640 Oxford Rd. in Ann Arbor. As a student, I was inspired by his quiet, no nonsense determination in his studies. Unfortunately time and distance conspire to break connections and I lost track of Dick. I still have a signed print (no.2 of 9) that he gave me in 1956. I was saddened by the news and send condolences to his family.

I was deeply touched by Richard through his classes, generosity with his time by offering demonstrations at local art organizations, and his passion for nature and his works. My highlight every Art-A-Fair opening night was stopping by to say hi to Richard and Carol and thank him for inspiring me to continue working on my own artistic expressions. You will be greatly missed but never forgotten.
