I am very sorry to hear of Richard's passing and wish to extend my condolences. I was a clerk at the firm in 1990 before I attended law school and fondly remember Richard. He was always a gentleman and very pleasant to work with, and someone who taught us a lot about the practice of law. I very much admired his father James as well and believe that all of your family is blessed to have each other. May they both rest in peace and may God keep all of you well.

Richard was an extraordinary close friend in every way. He gave "kindness" a new meaning to our family. We are devastated. Our collective 30+ years of memories, fun times and all the laughter with Richard and Susan will live on forever. With much love and peace...Richard will be so missed.

Dear Susan, My entire family and I send our sincerest condolences on the loss of your beloved husband. Cousin Ricky as we called him when we were growing up as kids was always the kindest, loving, young man. Despite many obstacles, Rick achieved so many accomplishments and all were so happy at his success. But his true success was you, dear Susan, and I remember being at your shower. Again, our thoughts and prayers are with you and all family members. love from Uncle John Kilsheimer and his six daughters' families.

I remember Rich from my experience as a clerk of Judge MacMahon in 1981-82. Rich was one of the former clerks that the Judge trusted and loved most. It was Rich who would come to chambers when called and, although very busy in his law practice, would discuss with the judge topics that were on the judge's mind. I had the impression that Rich sometimes acted as a legal advisor for the judge in matters unrelated to the bench. Rich was always industrious and respectful of others. It is easy to see in hindsight why he was such a success at the bar.
