Richard Thomas King of Haymarket, VA died on February 21, 2008 at his home. He was born on April 5, 1944 in West Virginia to the late Tracy and Alma King. He was a contractor in the Prince William area for many years. He is survived by his wife Edna M. King, daughter, Crystal Williams of Warrenton, VA, step daughters, Dawn Heflin of Warrenton, VA, Maryann Peterson of Raleigh, NC and step son James Miller of Warrenton, VA. Richard is also survived by his siblings, Gene King, Sandra McClanahan both of Bluefield, WV, Beanna Stintson, Donna Stout, Anthony Stephens all of Tazewell, VA and Lois Fortune of Virginia Beach, VA and 9 grandchildren. The family will receive friends on Friday, February 22, 2008 from 6 to 8pm and Saturday, February 23, 2008 from 3 to 5pm at Moser Funeral Home Inc. Warrenton, VA where funeral services will be held on Sunday, February 24, 2008 at 2pm. Interment will be in Bright View Cemetery, Warrenton, VA. Memorial contributions may be made to Capital Hospice, 10530 Linden Lake Plaza Suite 200, Manassas, VA 20109.

I was so sad to hear about Dicky's passing. He was a wonderful man and I think about him often. I still live in the home he built for us 30 years ago. There are so many fond memories I have of that construction project. God bless you and your family.

Please accept my deepest condolences in this time of sadness. Dicky was a great guy and a friend of mine. He built my first house in Catharpin in 1979 and I never forgot the times he and I worked together and the laughs we shared during the construction. I learned a lot from him and he was a great mentor.
