Not sure what to say?

Coach was a legend to many and an inspiration to me .. I was his paperboy in the early 70´s .. he followed me in little league and asked me if I was trying out for Babe Ruth .. I told him after some questionable little league coaching I wasn´t sure .. I did try out and he drafted me on the Spartans a City Champ dynasty under his coaching .. I too began a City Champ and he coached me `up´ every day .. he was tough but always had his players best interests at heart .. I owe a lot to him .. he...

What a lovely man in every way! I am so grateful to have known him, watched him from a distance doing all the wonderful things for his teams, students, community. A treasure of a man. Love to all his family. Susan Nordlinger

At a loss for words seeing this obituary. A lot of memories come to mind. He was a great mentor and a friend. Always looked out for his players in his roll as a counselor and would do his best for their success on and off the field. He would push you to try your hardest and wasn´t afraid to tell you if you needed to try harder. An intense competitor he would say " If i play croquet with my mom,i played to win". Thanks for the support and friendship RIP Kinney! You will be missed!

Rip was my baseball coach at A2 Pioneer High school and my consular. He was a good man and a tuff as nails coach. He had alot of respect for the hard work you put into the game. I speak alot of him to this day to folks I meet a out baseball. He will be missed. R.I.P Rip, Im sure your upstairs showing everyone how to play "small ball" that you instilled into us players.

Coach Kinney... the fond memories on the baseball field with you as my high school coach. The trips to Loudens Ice Cream Parlor in Jackson between doubleheaders. You were my counselor at Pioneer and I recall spending several hours talking in your office about many things. If not for you, I´d have never had the opportunity to play college ball. You also lived in my subdivision and there many times I stopped in to visit. Sitting around talking about life and baseball. You always asked how I was...

Prayers to the family I had him in my senior year of high school of 1962 in Hudson.

I had in my Senior of high school.

I remember the first time Dave Smith and I were men. Rip walked by us and said "good evening men", you´d thought we made it! Made it to manhood! God speed old friend
