Not sure what to say?

I was a friend of Rick Klauber particularly when we were teenagers, but all through our lives. I was thinking about all of you who love him especially on August 24th, the first anniversary of his passing. My Dad died of a heart attack when I was 17 years old. I have found it helpful to think about him a lot on the anniversary of his death each year. I also think of it as my grieving day for him. Since he liked to have a good time, I always make a point of having a good time at the end of...

I have just received the news of Rick's death and am deeply saddened. Rick and I dated a few years about 22 years ago now, and I've met his sons, Mark and Scott. I have read everything I can find online.

My condolences to the family. Rick was so motivated to learn during his life. He will be missed!!

My family and I are so sorry about the accidental death of Rick. I met him in San Diego when we were both 15 years old. We dated off and on for about 3 years. Even though we never went to the same school or lived in the same town, we remained friends for all of the rest of his life. We kept in touch via occasional snail mail and later via occasional email. We both enjoyed wishing each other happy birthdays every year. My birthday is 14 days before his. My husband, Marv (Marvin), and I...

I worked with Rick on several projects. He called on me to help him build his website. He was an eager and willing volunteer for Camano Arts Association, our Studio Tour, and at the Camano Center. Rick's personality, his great attitude, and his art added much to Camano Island's community. I will miss his presence and smile. Seems like he didn't have enough time here to get it all done, but enough to make a difference. Our Membership will all miss him.

I met Rick when he first moved to Camano Island he came to my glass studio and asked if I could help him with a couple of art projects which we did together. I live across the street from a lake and Rick asked me if there are fish in that lake and I said yep, so he would come by, park in my yard and go across the street to do some fishing off the dock and come back with his fish stories. Rick was a great conversationalist a 10 minute hello or good by could turn into an hour very easily. I...

Rick was our friend and we were very sad to hear of this news. He'll sincerely be missed. Our condolences go out to his family.
