Richard B. Klingle, Sr., 65, Bangor, PA, passed away Monday, March 3rd, at Pocono Medical Center, East Stroudsburg, PA. Born: March 27, 1948, in Stroudsburg, PA, he was a son of Richard C. Klingle of Bangor, and the late Vivian (Geake) Klingle. Personal: He was a co-owner and operator, with his former wife Linda S. Klingle, of the former Oak and Maple in North Bangor, PA, until retiring in 2004. Prior to operating the bar he was a truck driver. He enjoyed spending time with his grandson Ethan, watching the Philadelphia Eagles. Memberships: He was a member of the E.H. Evans Post 378 American Legion of Bangor, the Dyle L. Bray VFW Post 739 of Bangor, past Officer and member of the Slate Belt Pool League, and a life member of the Bangor Jacksonian Club. Survivors: In addition to his father, Richard C. Klingle, Richard is survived by three daughters, Christina Holland, Jennifer Klingle, and Alice Compton; three sons, Richard C. Klingle, Richard B. Klingle, Jr, and Randy Klingle; brothers and sisters, Donald, Warren, Joann, Kathy, Mary Ellen, Pam, and Cindy; 12 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. He was predeceassed by a daughter, April Hittner, and a brother, David Klingle Services: Funeral services will be held on Thursday, March 6, at 11:00 am at the Gaffney Parsons Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc., 4 Lillian Lane, "Village of Johnsonville", Bangor, PA. Call Wednesday evening from 6:00 - 8:00pm in the funeral home. Burial will be private at the convenience of the family. Memorials: In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Klingle family, c/o the funeral home.

A lot of good times and a lot of good memories. We used to really tear it up at the Oak. You are in the company of a lot of good people and I know you guys are tearing up again. Our condolences to the Klingle family. May you rest in peace Dick.
