Phylis it has been a lot of years,but I will never forget Dr "K". I remember the first day I walked into West Jersey in 1964 as the new blood bank supervisor. I was told of the senior resident that would be working in Blood Bank and that was the beginning of a long friendship. He eventually became my boss. As I posted at the Funeral Home's site: I was so sorry to hear of the passing of one of my favorite people and one of the most influential people in my life. Dr. Kolecki was the best boss that I ever had and also a wonderful mentor during the 16 years that I worked in the Blood Bank at West Jersey Hospital. He was not happy when I decided to go to graduate school to become a librarian, "but, you're a scientist". I am sorry that I cannot attend his funeral on Tuesday but I will be teaching...
