Not sure what to say?

I heard of Dr Kolecki's passing last week and could not help but think he was bigger than life! I, too, remember him from the Camden days at the lab. In my mind he will always be singing "Backfield in motion..." and smoking his little cigars. "The Doctor," as he liked to call himself, had an amazing amount of knowledge in his field, but the messiest desk! It always surprised me how he could pull just the right article out of the piles of papers that surrounded him on every surface of his...

Phylis it has been a lot of years, but I will never forget Dr "K". I remember the first day I walked into West Jersey in 1964 as the new blood bank supervisor. I was told of the senior resident that would be working in Blood Bank and that was the beginning of a long friendship. He eventually became my boss. Remember Phlylis I used to call him your "better half" and I was the other half. We had our moments but I had the utmost respect for him as a Pathologist and Friend. He...

As I posted at the Funeral Home's site: I was so sorry to hear of the passing of one of my favorite people and one of the most influential people in my life. Dr. Kolecki was the best boss that I ever had and also a wonderful mentor during the 16 years that I worked in the Blood Bank at West Jersey Hospital. Mrs Kolecki and family,
I was very sorry to hear of Dr Kolecki's death. My heartfelt condolences to all of you.
I am still in the lab at Virtua..however, my memories go back to Camden WJH. Dr.Kolecki and Dr Bauer(I heard that he also just passed away) were part of the Lab (of course Dr MacDonnell) that I will never forget. Dr Kolecki had a wonderful sense of humor that is part of my memories. Take care and my prayers to you all....
