Not sure what to say?

I looked up Mr. Korecko after finding the foot stool I made in his class in my mom's garage. I am sorry to hear he has passed. Though 30+ years have passed I remember his class vividly including his "bonus points" that were nothing more than a scribble in red pen that nobody could ever duplicate, and he made sure you knew nobody could!

Mr. Korecko had me in his 5th grade class in 1988-1989 at Albion. We had a lot of fun that year, I still remember making footstools before Christmas and his points system for classroom goodies (I still have an E.T. TV tray). I always thought he was a great teacher and wanted to thank him for teaching all of us. I am so sorry to learn of his passing, and send my deepest condolences to his family and friends..

Still missing those jokes, that laugh, that smile and those stories I enjoyed listening to.

Mr. Korecko was my 5th grade teacher in 87-88. He was one of my favorite teachers of all time. I thank him for the life lessons disguised as homework. He made me work up to my potential and incentivized students to not just skate by. I still have the footstool that I made back then and will forever remember making apple cider with the class and just generally loving 5th grade. Rest in Peace Mr. Korecko.

So sorry to hear about your dad ,I remember him always tinkering with something, my condolences to the family.
