I became friends with Rick and Lani way back about 1970 when I lead a group of Irish kids with Operation Friendship and I stayed with his parents. Through the years we lost contact and when I went searching for him I found this site. I am so saddened to read of his passing and I offer my heartfelt condolences. Rick was such a sweet and pleasant person with a great smile. As far as I could see, he absolutely adored Betty.
He was so much fun to be around.

He was a wonderful man and the best husband my dear friend, Betty, could have ever hoped for. This loss is impossible to believe. My sincere sympathy goes out to his entire family.

May God send his angel to protect your hearts at this time. You are in my prayers and I love you. Rick is a precious soul who is now in the presence of God and with his loved ones who have passed over.
