Not sure what to say?

Dear Zarita, Liana, Carina and Cassia, Nancy and I just came upon the very sad news of Rick's untimely passing nearly four years after the fact. We have thought of you all very warmly over the years. Recalling family times and dinners together when the kids (ours, Miles and Haley) were growing up. Rick was a wonderful being with a unique energy and perspective, such a loving heart and way. It was great to connect with him during an exciting time at HCHP and even have him as my doctor for...

Zarita, I feel so sad that you've had to say goodbye to such an exceptional and lovely man. He'll always be with you in your mind and heart.

I was saddened to read the news of the passing of my old neighbor who became my friend. Rick lived above me and my wife Nancy in a small two family in Somerville in the mid 1980’s . Rick used to come down and share a meal or sometime play guitar with Nancy, Me and my friends. He was a kind and interesting person with a good sense of humor. I will have always have fond memories of the short time we had spent together.

My deepest condolences to Zarita and his family.

Paul...

It was always a pleasure to be around Rick when he came to teach or collaborate on various ongoing projects. He shared his knowledge with such a kind and humble spirit, not to mention his great sense of humor and everyone looked forward to his classes. He was a very good man who loved his wife and family dearly.
He will always be fondly remembered, Esther Phillips

I remember Rich as a very nice guy, who pass tranquility and happiness to people around him. I did not get to know him very well, but I am sure he will be missed by Zarita, their daughters, and everyone who was lucky enough to know him closely. My sentiments to the family and friends who are certainly hurting right now. He will be with you forever through the nice memories and lessons left by him, try to remember this.

He is now resting in peace
