Not sure what to say?

My deepest sympathy to the Laninga family. Dick was a great administrator, valuable resource and friend for our father, Frank G. Hunnes, when our father served as the Superintendent of schools at Kelloggsville. When our father retired, he knew the Dick would continue to contribute significantly to the success of Kelloggsville as his successor.

Ruth, so sorry to hear of your loss. Just found out about it from my sister-in-law Anne or I would have attended the funeral.

My deepest sympathy to the family of Richard Lantinga. I was fortunate to have been a student of Mr. Laninga's Mechanical Drawing class. He was an outstanding teacher who encouraged every student to work to the best of their ability. He was instrumental in my attending WMU and getting both my B.S. and M.A. degrees in Industrial Education. I will always appreciate the encouragement and inspiration he gave me. I was blessed to have known him.

You can live stream the funeral service at Unity Reformed Church Facebook page, funeral starts at 11

We love you so much great grandpa and loved all of the memories we made with you. You were the kindest person we knew. You made the world a better place and made lots of people feel loved.

So sorry to hear this. I have wonderful memories of living across the street from the Laninga family as a child. I remember those mustangs! I still remember coloring easter eggs at your house. John and Lori were two of the best baby sitters a child could have. God has blessed you with a lifetime of wonderful memories with a great father I am sure. God bless your families as you remember this wonderful man. Praying for Gods comfort at this time.

I remember a day he had to drive me home from school because I was sick and had to borrow a car. We got their fine, however he didn´t know how to get it into reverse, it was a Volkswagen lol we pushed him out of the driveway so he could go back to school.

Single Memorial Tree

So sorry to hear of Dicks passing. Our thoughts and prayers are with Ruth and children tomorrow as we are unable to attend the service. Al and Judy Dornbush
