Not sure what to say?

Hard to believe it's been 4 years already. I am still doing the Firefighter thing and continue to be thankful for all that Dick has taught me. His picture hangs in a place of Honor where all my Firefighter "stuff" is proudly displayed in my "den". Visitors often ask who he was and I proudly and tearfully relate who he was to me. I'm always hopeful that he is keeping a watchful eye over me and guiding me to do the right things especially on difficult fire situations. Rest in Peace my friend,...

Dick was my first Captain on WFD. The lessons and experiences I learned from Dick still serve me today. I am honored to have served under such a great person.Dick gave 100 percent in everything he was involved in. He was a positive role model in every position and job he held. The community will truly miss his contributions and experience. RIP my
friend.

I will always be indebted to Dick Larson. Captain Dick Larson was my teacher and mentor that started me on my Fire Service career. His genuine smile and constant support always pushed me to be the best I could be. My job as a firefighter, educator and role model are what Dick, the Willmar Fire Department and Ladder Company 9 brought out in me. I will always be grateful to him and will always try my best to serve my community as he taught me. Rest in peace my good friend. Our paths will cross...

My sincere sympathy to the family and friends of Mr. Larson. Mr. Larson was respectful and approachable commissioner. Thanks to him and fellow commissioners reporting to the county board was not intimidating. It was a positive experience. Mr. Larson was a true leader, an individual who valued Kandiyohi County.

As chair of the Chief Elected Officials Board for PACT for Families, Dick was always a supporter of children, youth, and families in West-Central Minnesota. He encouraged and oversaw development of many prevention and intervention initiatives and himself worked tirelessly to steer these interventions. As director of PACT for ten years, I learned to appreciate Dick's leadership and saw firsthand (through Dick's example) how important county government is to its citizens. On a personal level, I...

I appreciated getting to know Dick as a County Commissioner. I could always count on his honest, well thought through, respectful opinions and thoughts at board meetings I attended with him. Also was an honor to get to know him some personally. He left a positive memory. My sympathy and prayers for your family as you honor him.

Cottonwood County Commissioner

I was saddened when I read of Dick's passing. However, I feel I am privileged to have known him and the gentleman he was.

A true patriot for our community.
