Richard Humberto Lazo passed on from this life on Wednesday, March 21, 2018 in San Antonio, TX. He is preceded in death by his stepfather, Alexander Maldonado. He is survived by former wife and mother of his two sons, Alicia Arita; their two sons, Richard and Eric; grandsons, Cooper and Adam; mother, Mary Louise Maldonado; sister, Irene Lazo; and nephews, David and Adrian Herrera.
Born in Torreon Coahuila México, he emigrated to the US as a young boy, attending San Fernando Catholic School during his formative years.
He attended the National Polytechnic Institute in Mexico City for his collegiate studies, and shortly thereafter moved his young family to San Antonio, Texas where he lived until his untimely departure.
A lifelong tinkerer and selfless Jack of all trades, he was always willing to lend a hand to those in need. He will be remembered for his storytelling, having a big heart, and being always loyal to his family.
An informal memorial gathering will be held in his honor on Friday, April 6th at: La Fogata Restaurant
