Richard Dana Leclerc

On behalf of everyone at Beacon of Hope Community Services, I offer our sincerest condolences to the Leclerc family. We are so very grateful for Mr. Leclerc's support over the years. His kindness and generosity has truly made a difference in the lives of those supported by our services. We wish you peace and strength during this difficult time.

I met Rick around fifty years ago when he was hitchhiking near (the former) Carter Junior High on West Street in Leominster, and appeared to be just another “ordinary looking” teenager ... with a thick mustache, long sideburns and shoulder length hair wearing a turtleneck sweater with bell bottoms pants - and probably a pair of Tom Mcan square toed boots ... walking backwards and thumbing a ride on the side of the road as was customary in those days.
I pulled over to pick him up and...
