I used to chat with Richard when I was downtown in Portland at a pub called Scandals. I enjoyed his memories of Import Plaza and of his trips to Japan. Richard was my favorite male cousin on my father's side of the family, the only one I knew as a young person.Though I saw him infrequently due to age and distance, he was always a kind, considerate and very interesting person. He would visit us whenever he could coming back from buying trips to Japan. He was a true gentleman. May he rest in peace in the loving embrace of the God who made us all.
