Richard Lewallen

My husband, Harlan Mauch (now deceased), was a patient of Dr Lewallen many years ago. My husbands injury was work related and we were overwhelmed with the paperwork and process that we were faced with. Dr. Lewallen supported us and graciously submitted all vital information needed. As a young couple, just early in our careers, this kind gesture meant the world to us, and we were forever grateful! Thoughts go out to the family of a wonderful physician.

Dr. Lewallen was a good man, a good physician. I was his medical assistant for several years. During that time, he diagnosed & treated my son Ben for a C-curvature of the lumbar spine. At the time & now looking back, I still feel like Richard was planned for us by God. He counseled Ben, possibly on a yellow pad :), how to live with what could have been a disability. Ben heeded his advice. Instead of building homes & doing manual labor, which he loved, he is now the principal of home...

So very sorry for your loss Patti.

We were deeply saddened to see Dr. Lewallen passed away. He was considered our family doctor when our boys were young. I remember Dr. Lewallen came out on our farm to hunt some years ago with his son. I am sad we lost contact. I was just recently looking for ways to contact him again. God be with his wife and son.
