Not sure what to say?

Richard was a great inspiration and passionately improved the Firestop community. He also acted as a great mentor and advisor in my career and I will be always greatful for his support. My thoughts go to his wife and family.

I am shocked. I just heard about Richards death today. I am so sad and wish I could have said good-bye. The best boss I ever had. I will always remember him....

I worked with Richard for many years in fire protection. Words could never express the extreme value this man portrayed in business and his personal life. I'll never forget one day we were somewhere in the US doing sales and I told the group that I knew of a war no one ever heard of. It was when I was in Germany we sent helicopters to the Congo for the Congolese war. My god Richard says, "I was there" He was in the airborne! I believe the 82nd. My personal hero ever since! I love you OLE...

I have known Richard for many years from ASTM. I will remember him as a fine and very knowledgeable gentleman. We will miss him. My deepest sympathy to his family.

I met Richard years ago when he came to the Promatec office in Cypress. I called him Mr. Licht and he shook my hand and told me to call him Richard. I went to him several times with questions and quality resolutions. He always had time for me, as busy as he was. I see his name everytime I go through our 3M file and I always smile, remembering his professionalism and his kindness. I pray that the Good Lord will hold his family and his friends in His loving arms as they struggle through...

My deepest sympathy and condolences to Richard's family. I knew Richard for many years, working with him on various ASTM committees. It was an honor to have known and worked with him. He left our world a better place.

Dear Carol,

We were so sorry to hear the sad news. Richard was not only a colleague but a very dear friend whom we will sadly miss.
I will especially miss the "warm" beer which was always ready for me when we visited you, and the look on Richard's face when you beat
him on the golf course. Wonderful memories. Our thoughts are with you during this trying time.

Barbara and Karl-Heinz Romann, Korschenbroich, Germany

From the very early days of development, testing, and approvals of fire barrier materials for the nuclear industry and through many years of ASTM fire standards development, Richard was a friend, mentor, and respected colleague. Richard will be deeply missed.

I have fond memories of Richard and particularly admired his unswerving dedication to the tasks on hand. He seemed tireless in is work and had the knack of being in good humor despite the nature of the issues confronting him. My deepest sympathies to the family.
