Not sure what to say?

May God bless you and your family in this time of sorrow. A friend from Australia . We Met on a Trip in Queensland on a bus . RIP Richard E. Lobby Carol / Germany

Richard,
You always treated me like family. I loved running into you around town because you showed so much love and excitement every time. I feel grateful to have known you for so many years. You are so incredibly missed.

Richard - I am still in shock over your passing. I will miss our conversations at Starbucks. You were always a pleasure to talk to you, as well as listen to. There were times that I even Postpone my plans for the day so I could keep talking to you. No youre up there with all of your sports heroes and musical legends. Rest in peace my friend! I am very glad I met you and your family.

Richard,

You have given me the privilege to some of the greatest sights and memories when I lived in Oregon. You treated me like family, and I will always be grateful to have had the pleasure of knowing such a generous person. You led an amazing life, and I'm sure many would agree. I will celebrate your life and your memory and cherish the times we had together. Thank you, kind sir.

With the highest respect,

Jaryd D.

I met Richard and Maimuna after Samira and my son, Alex, started dating in 2015. I was invited to their house for dinner, and besides enjoying the delicious meal that Maimuna prepared, I so enjoyed the lively conversation around the table on a variety of topics. It was so beautiful to see the interaction of this loving family. The liveliness came from everyone having different ideas and opinions about everything. It was obviously a home where thoughts and feelings were expressed freely and...

Richard and I met in 1979 at Pasadena City College in Nursing school. We went on to work together in the CCU fir many years. We were friends outside of work as well, camping and hiking and going to sporting events. After Richard moved to Eugene we continued our friendship with both being huge Oregon Duck fans. I knew his beautiful wife and witnessed his wonderful daughters grow up into being beautiful caring women like their parents. Richard will be missed deeply.

He always made me feel included. He was interested in what you were up to and a good listener. He was also very passionate about politics and sports always speaking his mind. He really loved his family and was so proud of his girls. I'm sure he is looking down from heaven and thinking, "Those are my loves."

Richard Lobby,

I unfortunately never had the pleasure of meeting you, but I have been friends with your daughters, Samira and Naima, since High School. I know how amazing they both are which tells me what a wonderful person and father you must be. Your love, strength, and joy for life will live on in their souls and the community you've helped them build.

Richard, I never met you, but became fb friends via my Trojan friends. I loved your passionate support for your family, country and Ducks. I will deeply miss your posts about these subjects and your appreciation for the world around you.

I grieve with your family and friends, as you made a positive impact on even those who didnt meet you in person.

Fight On Forever, my friend.
