Not sure what to say?

I worked for Consolidated Communications in 1995. I met Richard Lumpkin at my initial orientation. I had previously worked at ITN, where he was on the board. He remembered me and remembered my name. He treated his customers and employees like family. It was one of the best places I ever worked. I was very sad to see that Dick was gone. He is certainly not forgotten.

On behalf of the Yale Club of Monterey County, I send condolences on the loss of Dick Lumpkin. Despite his failing health, Dick enthusiastically hosted our first event in several years, which was a great success. We are most appreciative. He led an especially full life and will be greatly missed. Ann Clarke, President, Yale Club of Monterey County

A sweet man. Will be very sadly missed. Only met Dick through his more race times in CV & Cima Collins Winery. Condolences to the family & friends. I have been in the care giving cave with my life partner born in 1935 England, so was not aware of this sad news. Biggest hugs, love all around.

I was his secretary when he first came
back to Mattoon and initiated cable tv.
He has achieved so much in life and has
been an excellent example for all to follow.
His infectious laugh always brought a
smile.
I offer my sincerest sympathy at this
difficult time. Pat (Pippin) White-
Straumann.

A generous man, big hearted and a true friend. I shall miss him dearly.

We are saddened to learn of Dick's passing. While building his and Gail's home in Carmel Valley, he was a complete delight to work with and we became great friends. He put his all in everything he was a part of and there are countless friends and acquaintances who will truly miss this dear man.

Mr. Lumpkin was a very unassuming and respectful person to all people. I gained a lot of knowledge in managing people and processes during my 17 years at Consolidated and am grateful for my years their. My condolences to his family.

Dick was a fine gentleman, in the truest sense of the word. He always treated everyone with utmost respect, regardless of their station on life. I was honored to call him a friend.
