Not sure what to say?

Well Hun, It has been a year since your passing and it has not gotten any easier. Everyone has been very helpfull and suportive. I try to remember what you taught me throughout our years together. I have gone through all the firsts and have tried to embrace each one rather than hide from them. It has been a year of heartache and adjustment. I am trying to find a direction, but am having difficulty doing so. It will probably take me awhile. When you were here, I would think to myself how...

RICHARD MADER - Long-time member, and one of the founders of PVPC, Richard E. Mader, age 75, passed away at his home on September 27, in York, PA. Richard, a Vietnam Vet, retired from the U.S. Navy after 26 years of service.

TODAY IS ALMOST DONE, HAVE SEEN MOST OF THE FAMILY IN THE PAST COUPLE OF DAYS. HAVE MORE FOND MEMORIES WITH FAMILY, STILL MISSING ONE MAIN MEMORY. BUT KNOWING THAT OUR TREE HAS BEEN ADORNED WITH YOUR MEMORY HAS BEEN HELPFULL, AND WILL ALWAYS BE THE FIRST DECORATION ADDED TO OUR TREE IN THE COMING YEARS. WATCH OVER US ALL AND GIVE US THE STRENGTH THAT WE NEED. TRYING TO BE THE MAN THAT YOU SHOWED ME. JOHN

DAD:
TOMORROW IS YOUR FAVORITE MEAL. IT WILL BE HARD FOR ME TO FACE IT KNOWING YOU WILL NOT BE WITH US IN BODY, BUT I KNOW YOU WILL BE WITH US IN SPRITE. GIVE US ALL THE STRENGTH WE WILL NEED TO MAKE IT THRU THE UPCOMING HOLIDAYS. YOU WILL ALWAYS BE CLOSE TO MY HEART AND IN MY THOUGTHS. LOVE JOHN

What to say about a friend?

I met Dick at "Cat" -- one day I sat at my desk and looked up to see this guy who I had seen but didn't know. His question was "Would you be my partner in the golf league?". I had never played in a league and had no desire for a partner but, for whatever reason I said "I'll try this for a couple weeks".

The couple weeks became 12 years. My kind of people are those who say what they mean and mean what they say. Dick was that kind of...

Sue and Dave

To my beloved husband: The Bible says the wife is to be submisive to her husband; you made that easy by your gentle leadership, your quiet uplifting of my self-estem. It was an honor taking care of you in your retirement and your illness. You were everything I could have wanted in a husband. I always enjoyed listening to your military stories, as it was like the past speaking to my love of history. Your love of dogs spoke volumes for your love of your family and all those who came in touch...

Dear Bren & Mader Family,

We like to send our deepest sympathy for the lost of your
father. We pray God's comfort, grace and blessings upon your family.

John and Dianne,
As time passes, may the memories of your loved one find a special place in your heart. My thoughts are with you.
