Happy Heavenly Birthday Dr.Magill!! You were truly one of a kind

I´m just learning of Dr.Magill´s passing. I am so heart broken, he was truly a good man. I remember as a kid he would come to our home with his black medical bag to see my grandmother. Before he had his wan practice he was with Dr Mahone. I knew my family was going to follow him. We had generations that was there from the beginning. When I turned 30 in the early 90´s , I decided that I should probably look for a family physician...I was flipping through the yellow pages and (very lucky for me ) I called Dr. Magills office to see if they were accepting patients. It was a blessing to have him as my Dr. As a former Marine, we hit it off right away. I remember calling him his office and getting an appointment right away or if he couldn´t squeeze you in -he would so generously set you up on a Saturday when no one else would...

On the second year anniversary of your death Dr Richard Magill I publicly announce that I miss your devotion to the profession of medicine & treatment. With you gone I have found the profession shattered to pieces. Two years after your death I may have found a practicing family physician. RIP

At times I would stop and be thinking of Dr. Magill how he was truly a good man. Peace be upon the family.

It is hard to believe he is gone. Doctor Magill was our family doctor on both my wife and my families to include parents and relatives. Even some of our friends were his patients. He was dedicated to everyone of his patients. I often wondered what a toll on his personal life it must have been to be so dedicated to his profession. It seems like only yesterday I saw Dr. Magill for the last time at his office on Linglestown Road on a Saturday morning! I needed his help and he answered the call that very same day! There will never be another doctor like Dr. Magill who went above and beyond to take care of every last one of his patients no matter the time nor day of the week! On September 27, 1967 Dr. Magill delivered our son. On September 17, 1970, he delivered our daughter, which was his daughters birthday. He was doctor to my parents, aunt and uncle and many cousins, He was truly a family doctor. He was our doctor till the day he retired. He was a wonderful person and more then a doctor he was a friend,
