I had my first Blimpy Burger in 1979, visiting my friend's sister who was on track scholarship. My wife and two children who are 41 and 27 were raised on these burgers. We lived in Flint and rode down often no matter what season to enjoy the experience. Rich was quiet but friendly and we will cherish the entire experience Forever. Please keep it open 53 more years!!

One of my most cherished friends from freshman year at UM (and after). We reconnected after Chris passed, and shared some cherished memories. I was one of the four who hitchhiked to California with Rich in the summer of 1970, but that was only one of the many adventures we shared. Condolences to the kids, Rod, and the rest of the family, We will all miss him.

Rich was a roll model to many, and to me instilled a work ethic that has shaped me yo who I am today. For the rest of my life, you will be spoken about with praise and respect. I'll see you later rich. I love you and yours.

Rich, I will never forget the work ethic and confidence to move forward in my life in the original blimpys location. There was direct communication that, in all honesty, shaped the way I approach a lot of situations in my life today. You where more than my boss, you where a roll model and a teacher. I will remember you for the rest of my life and could not have asked for a better first job. With respect and love -Adam Nicklowitz.

I am proud to always be a part of the Blimpy family, working for Rich and his family in my early recovery years. RIP to a GREAT man.

I remember Rich and Chris being ever present parents when their kids swam for the Ypsilanti Otters swim team many years ago. We would all go to Blimpy after the meets and crowd the store with so many people. I remember taking my own kids there for the first time, when they earned their complimentary tootsie pop for finishing their double burgers. Couples like Rich and Chris will be missed for the community they created. My condolences to the family during this time.
