Not sure what to say?

Rich, as a young man, was even then an incredible person with a delightful sense of humor, love of cars and very genuine.
It is a great sadness that he has passed away and suffered those years. I know he loved his wife Cheryl always, and and must have been an incredible father. I'm sure his greatest joy was his family and am grateful he had the years he did with someone as special as Cheryl Wallaker, Makolin. My sincerest thoughts for each of you.

Cheryl and family-I am so sorry. You and your family will be in my thoughts and prayers.

I was deeply saddened from hearing of Rich's passing. My condolences goes out to the Makolin family. I've known Rich since 1976 at Eastern Michigan as a Lambda Chi Alpha fraternity member. He was a true friend and great person to be around.

My thoughts and prayers are with you at this time. I have many fond memories of family picnics with "Ricky" at Ruth and Al's cabin in Betsy many years ago.

Richard was my friend for over 45 years. We shared many a mile stone over the years. My fondest memories take me back to warm summer nights cruising the streets of Ypsilanti in his silver, not grey!, 73 Road Runner listening to Mountain's Mississippi Queen.

"A true friend is one who thinks you are a good egg even if you are half-cracked."

There is nothing I can say to express how I feel about losing a friend of 45 years. We shared so many great times my friend. You have gone first from us. As Kermit said; "life is full of meetings and partings, that is the way of it, this is the first parting among us". I will never forget you and if Jessica needs anything in years to come I will remember our pledge. I'll see to that toast we agreed upon...

On behalf of Rich's brothers at Lambda Chi Alpha, we would like to extend our deepest sympathies to the family and friends of our beloved friend and brother.

Cheryl & family, my heart and prayers go out to you at this time of your husbands passing.

My thoughts and prayers are with Rich's family, I have known Rich for many years, we worked together at Holly's Steak & 4 back in 1976. He always had a sense of humor, as the years past he was a very kind and gentle man. I was fortunate to have known him.
