Richard your kindness changed the trajectory of my sons life. Because of people like you who served this country honorably he could not wait to meet you.

We spoke for about 30 minutes in Ft. Drum when I was a child, you sat at the table alone with a stack of books, I bought your book when nobody else was.. You told me to be & stay aggressive in Life. I made my Mom buy your book and Im glad I did, you taught me so much about Vietnam and my own life through your book The Rouge Warrior..Im forever grateful. God Bless Your Family

To the family and freinds of one of the greatest navy seals ever, I am truly sorry for your loss of one heck of a great guy. I never met the guy but then you did not need to , to no what this guy was about. I kind of followed his story over the years, and there was no end to his love of the NAVY and his SEALS. This is a guy who will truly be missed. God bless you Richard.
