Richard A. Marquardt

“RA” had a great influence on my life. To this day I have fond memories of all the weekend and weeklong outings at Camp Chickasaw, along with a few extended trips to Maine and Canada. Through his dedication to the Boy Scouts, RA taught me lifelong skills of independence, leadership, respect and preparedness to name a few. Sir Robert Baden Powell, the founder of Scouting taught scouts the trail signs of old. One of the signs is that of "Gone Home". Gone home is simply a circle with a dot in the middle.
