Read MoreShocked to learn today of Rick's passing. Knew Rick for some 40 years. A pioneer of satellite TV and had been on board of directors of Dish Network. His stunt airplane is on display in a Russian museum. He was a truly great father and businessman. I used to be able to travel by being able to leave my pets at his Pet Motel. There are truly no words to express the significance of his loss to the world.

Mrs. Mathes, Tracy, Lori and family, My heart goes out to you all. I´m so sorry to hear about your dad and husband. I have fond memories of Mr. Mathes (Rick) hanging out with my dad, Jim, when I was little in Westboro. He was always so cheerful and fun to be around.
