Not sure what to say?

You left a mark on my heart forever..Although I only had 4 years in class, you left a lifetime of memories in my heart.. You were "that teacher" to me.. So thank you:)

I will never forget you, Mr. Maynard. As I step into the role of choir director at my church, I remember your kindness and patience, and the love of music and the light of God that shone through you. Someday we will all be reunited in Heaven in worship of Our Savior Jesus!
You made a difference in my life and the lives of so many people. Rest In Peace.

Dear Maynard family,
I was deeply saddened to learn about Richard's passing. He was a wonderful teacher who left me with so many treasured memories from high school. I deeply regret not being able to be in NH to sing at the funeral, but please know I was present in spirit. I am saddened at the thought that we will never again see his unique smile and encouraging words. Requiem Aeternam. Mr. M!

Muriel,
Our deepest sympathy in the loss of Richard, we will keep you in our thoughts and prayers. Hope to see you at Belmont Hall again some time soon.

Richard, I only knew you a short time but the honor was all mine. dEBBIE M. LAKEWOOD NJ

Richard I only knew you a short time but the honor was all mine.

To Muriel, my lovely beautiful neighbor and friend, how saddened we were to hear of Richard's passing. If Richard happened to be walking by when I was outside either grilling or tending to my lawn, he would pick on me because of my crazy aprons (in the nicest way!) and at the same time, ask how David was in the middle east, always with sincere concern-offering up help if...

For Muriel - my very beautiful and wonderful neighbor, my family and I are truly sorry for the loss of Richard - a more accomplished professional and musician than we ever knew. He was so very kind, always had a nice word to say. While I would be out in the yard with my crazy aprons on, he would walk by and make fun of me (in the nicest way!) but at the same time ask how David was was while he was a world away from us in the middle east, offering help if necessary while he was away....

I am a 1982 graduate of West High School and was in Mr. Maynard's choral groups all 4 yrs. There wasn't a day I didn't enjoy going to his class. He taught us so much about music and how fun it could be. We sang from gosspil, to traditional, to rock and roll. My favorite memory is performing Queen's Bohemian Rhapsody in the Chorus and this was all before Wayne's World made it popular. Ha! I remember how impressed our families and fellow students were with how good it sounded! We had so...
