Not sure what to say?

We have much for which to thank God. Recently while having a coronavirus phone visit with Ruth Ann we were thankful that Dick with his poor health was not living during this crisis. Our conversation consisted of many memories. Again, thank you God for memories. They are so wonderful and yes, many of them even produce laughter. This is another gift to us as we remember Dick and wait for the time when we as believers will join him in Heaven. Paul and Frances Koehn, Octogenarian...

I was a student of Dr. Mccarbery's at Bedford High in the early sixties. He was very kind to me. He advised to go to Adrian College. He even came to see me there. I see he had a great life. I always wondered what he did after Bedford High. I wish I had found him earlier.

Ruth Ann,
You and Richard will always have a special place in my heart. Richard was always there whenever you needed him, and he gave advice with grace and calm. I am glad that he is at peace and with those who love his spirit.

We were saddened to hear of Richard's passing, but have confidence that he is in our Heavenly Father's arms! What a fine gentleman that we were privileged to know while having Sarah and Ryan as junior high students many years ago. Our condolences go out to wife Ruth and family. Gary & Donna Lora

I had known Dr. McCarbery in his previous roles at the college and had always admired him greatly. When he joined the Counseling staff I got the wonderful privilege of getting to know him as a mentor and a friend. I will remember fondly our discussions (often with Fred Bell) in the mornings on books, religion, politics and how much he enjoyed the music at Old Stone Church. I learned many a lesson from him but most importantly how to treat people, with kindness and respect. His...

As I remember Richard McCarbery I will see a kind, gentle, soft-spoken, and genuine man. I was privileged to work with Dr. McCarbery for several years and firmly believe that his contributions as a faculty member, administrator and then counselor contributed greatly to the outstanding reputation of LCCC. Sincere sympathy to the Mccarbery family.

How blessed we have been to have had Dick as a friend since our teen years, a friend who is now separated temporarily from us but with whom we shall spend eternity. Our Lord does not promise us a "trouble free" life but He does promise to be with us during our trials as He was with Dick. As we thank God for Dick's life we shall also be asking Him to bless each person Dick interacted with so that they may also feel God's Love and Support.

I had the privilege of working with Dr. McCarbery for several years at LCCC. He was one of the most kind and thoughtful people I have ever known. He will be missed. My condolences to Mrs. McCarbery and family.

Dear RuthAnn, Sarah, Ryan, Denny and Grandchildren,
Our sincerest sympathy during this loss to your family. Your family is in our prayers during this difficult time. Richard will be missed.
With love, Fred and Sharon Call
