Not sure what to say?

Dear Cynthia,
I'm writing from Mexico where I just found about about Richard's death. My sincerest condolences to you and the boys. You will be in my prayers.

I'm so sorry to learn of Richards passing. My blessings are with you.

He was a friend from many years ago. A truly fine and kind man.

I am sorry to learn about Richard's passing. I remember playing Jazz music for the very first time with Rich. I was maybe 13(1962)at the time and he was so kind as a teacher and friend. He made it easy for me to be comfortable playing with and learning from him and his “older” friends who were so talented. As a result, Rich changed my musical life in a very positive way. My thoughts and prayers are with his entire family.

Another of our Kirkwood High School alums gone way too soon. Rich had an influence on many, may he rest in peace and love.

Such a great guy! First to introduce himself and make you feel like an old friend. Loved the way his face lit up when he talked about his love of family and jazz. You're in my thoughts and prayers.

Thank you Richard for being such a wonderful and geniune person, my mentor and friend. You are missed. The laughs!!! That kind smile...I'm going to miss having laughs with you. You helped an old blues fan fall in love with jazz like it was my first love...thank you.

So sorry to learn of Rich's passing. We went back to Keysor school days and then later worked together for many years at A.G.Edwards. He was a wonderful guy will be missed...

I was shocked and saddened to learn of Rich's passing - truly a loss to his family and the community. Rich and I were business school friends and we kept in touch for many years afterwards. I remember playing tennis with him, and then swimming in his Webster pool afterwards. I even stayed at his house years later when interviewing for a job in St. Louis, as I was living in Detroit.

Please accept my sincere condolences for a tragic loss.
