Not sure what to say?

Dear Shirley, and the McKeon Family. A GREAT LOSS, Richard "Buzzy" was a good friend and mentor. We were classmates, co-workers and runners. We ran the Boston Marathon several times in the 1970's. A picture of us running side by side in Boston was published in a book on marathon runners. I introduced Rich to his wife Shirley when we traveled to Paris as part of a Nyack College Wintrum Semester program. I lost contact with Richard when a brain tumor changed my life resulting in loss of motor...

Dear Shirley, Chris and Julie,
We are so saddened and shocked to have received this news. Our hearts and prayers go out to you. Rich meant a lot to John as his first scoutmaster in Troop 459. It was our delight that Rich was able to participate in John's Eagle Scout ceremony by delivering the challenge to live as an example, to give more than you receive. Rich obviously lived it. Let us know if we can help. May God's grace and peace comfort you always. The Laamans

Dear McKeon family,

I also worked with Rick at Converse. I was so sad to hear this news. He was such a pleasure at work - always going for his runs with the other "marathoners" at Converse. Please know that you are in our prayers.

We are truely saddened by your loss of husband and father. Death is suppose to only come to old people and Rich was definitely not old, either in terms of age or mental attitude. Just remember we are still there for you if you need us.

We're sorry to hear about the passing of Rick. Please find comfort in the memories that you hold near & dear.
Sincerely
Running Friends

I am truly saddened to hear of Rick's passing. We worked together at Converse and although years have passed, I think of him often. He was a kind, generous man. He was always able to lighten the mood and bring a smile to everyone's face. Rick was so proud of his family and devoted in everything he did. I'll always remember his convertible with the "Dads" license plate, that was the cutest thing and it further showed his love for his family.
Rick and his family will be in my prayers,...

Rich was a person full of enthusiasm and positive energy. I can’t help but smile when I picture Rich. He always greeted me with his big smile and warm welcome. Occasionally I would stop by the house unannounced after not seeing him for a year plus and he would greet me as if he was had been anxiously expecting me. We had many long conversations on 20+ mile training runs preparing for the National Guard Marathons in Lincoln Nebraska. Rich never ceased to amaze me with his wisdom as a husband,...

I will always be thankful for and remember Rich's enthusiasm and encouragement while running the Lincoln, marathon's. I would like to express my deepest sympathies to his family for the loss of one truly wonderful person.
